MBA course is a 2 years postgraduate degree course which includes 4 semesters. MBA can be pursued in various modes of learning likewise Regular mode of learning, distance learning and online mode of learning. Here is the overall overview of different types of MBA: –  

  1. Regular MBA or MBA degree course: – It is a 2-year full-time degree course. This course is divided into 4 or 6 semesters. The individual has to complete mandatory internships at the end of 1st year and individuals get the placement opportunities at the end of the final year.
  2. Postgraduate diploma course: It is referred to as PGDM or postgraduate diploma in management. This course is also available in regular mode, distance learning and online mode of learning. It is also a 2-year degree course
  3. Distance learning MBA: working professional or students who cannot go to college on a regular basis, they can opt for Distance learning mode. In this, students can attend classes in online mode and just visit the college for semester examinations.
  4. Online mode of learning: This option is now-a-days becoming very popular among the students. In online mode of learning, individuals can attend classes and examinations in online mode, they do not have to visit the college regularly.  
  5. Executive MBA: This course option is available exclusively for working professionals who have professional working experience of 3 to 5 years. It is 15 months-18 months duration and individuals have to attend the classes in regular mode.
  6. Integrated MBA: it is a 5 years integrated MBA degree course which can be pursued after completing the higher secondary. This course is provided by only some institutes in India.

MBA is a postgraduate degree, so must have completed the undergraduate degree under relevant discipline and recognized university with minimum 55%.  

They must qualify for the entrance exam such as: CAT, XAT, GMAT, CUET-PG, SNAP, NMAT, MAT, MAH-MBA CET.  

After qualifying the examination, group discussion or personal interview is conducted by the top different institutes and universities.  

Some universities require 2 years of work experience in the relevant field.
