B TECH: What is the full form of B. Tech? 

B.Tech full form is Bachelor of Technology. It is an undergraduate degree of 4 years which provides a strong foundation in engineering principles and practical applications. The BTech course is designed in such a way that it enables students to gain the skills and knowledge which is important in different engineering domains.  

B.TECH: B.Tech Eligibility Criteria   

1. To be eligible for B.tech course, the candidate has to complete and pass Higher Secondary Education (12th class) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects from a recognized board of education. 
2. Candidates must secure 75% as aggregate score in Higher Secondary. 
3. Considered all things, candidates must clear JEE MAINS and JEE advance to secure admission in top institute or university of India. 
4. There are many states which conduct their own entrance exam for BTech.  

Individuals who have studied Biology as mandatory subject in Class 12th can apply for certain engineering subjects like Biomedical engineering, Biotechnology engineering.  

B.TECH: B.Tech Admission 2026 

For B.Tech admission, every college and university and different B.tech admission process. It also depends upon the B.tech course and specialization. Here is the overview of B.Tech Admission: –  

1. Check the eligibility criteria: Candidate must have completed higher secondary education with minimum 75% 

2. Choose entrance exam: Candidate must appear in the entrance exams such as JEE Mains and JEE Advance, CUET-UG, MHCET, KCET.  

3. Prepare for entrance exam: Start preparation for engineering entrance exams as soon as possible, usually from class 11th.  

4. Wait for results: After appearing for entrance exam such as JEE MAINS and JEE advance, CUET UG, MHCET, KCET. Results will be updated on the official website. 

5. Participate in the counselling process: On the basis of rank and score, candidate can participate in the counselling process. Candidates have to fill the counselling form and preference sheet. Candidates are allocated seat on the basis of cutoff, rank, score and other factors.

The regulating body for B.Tech , AICTE, says that B.tech requires practical knowledge and hands-on engineering skills which cannot be done online mode. Furthermore, the apex court of India has ruled that university in India cannot offer online B.Tech course.
